Will my site be down during the transfer? Will I continue to receive emails?

Neither the operation of your site, nor your emails will be affected by the transfer. They remain active throughout the process.

What is the authorization code and how do I get it?

The authorization code is a unique code for each domain name. It is used as a safety measure in case of transfer, as it certifies the identity of the legitimate owner and gives the ability to complete the transfer of the name between registrars.

Without this code, the change of registrar cannot be realized. The authorization code is alternatively referred to as EPP (acronym for Extensible Provisioning Protocol) and Auth-Info Code.

How long does the process of transferring a Domain Name take?

The time varies depending on the TLD of the domain name. Once the owner of the domain name approves the transfer to Top.Host, the following applies:

for .GR extensions, the transfer is automatically completed on the same day
for .EU extensions, the transfer is automatically completed within 2 days
for .COM, .NET, .INFO, .ORG extensions, the transfer is completed within 5-15 days

If the transfer approval is not given, the request is canceled and must be resubmitted.
