Typically, they are phrases such as: &#8220;Buy now&#8221;, &#8220;Download the guide&#8221;, &#8220;Join our community&#8221;.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A well-written CTA:\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Focuses on the goal.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Do you want them to check in, follow you on social media, or buy?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Motivates your audience.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> They use persuasive language that makes action necessary.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Increases conversions. <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Without a strong CTA, audiences may &#8220;lose track&#8221; and not take the desired step.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The 3 key elements of any successful Call to Action\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To build CTAs that really &#8220;work&#8221;, you need to combine the following:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>1. Clarity<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Your CTA needs to be clear from the first glance. Avoid unnecessary words or complicated language. People need to easily understand the action you are asking for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>2. Urgent language<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Use words that create a sense of &#8220;now&#8221;. A sense of urgency helps to mobilize users more quickly.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Examples:\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8220;Catch the offer&#8221;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8220;Register now&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>3. Visibility and proper positioning<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Your CTA needs to stand out. Place it prominently on your page (e.g. in the middle or at the end of the content) and use a bold design, distinctive shape or color to grab attention and emphasize the message.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">How to write your own CTA in 6 steps\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4>Step 1. Define your goal<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">First, think about exactly what you want your customers to do. Your goals might be to click on a link, to buy a product, or to download a guide.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The more specific your goal, the more targeted your CTA will be.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Step 2. Use active language<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Prefer short phrases that encourage action. Use social proof<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The decision becomes easier for the audience when you highlight that many others have taken the same action.
